I'm sure Sir Thomas has had a lucky life with you. And I know how hard it is to lose such a friend but you and the vet certainly did the right thing.

I hope the thought of Thomas soon brings smiles to your face instead of tears.

I'm late in reading your blog. I'm so very sorry for the loss of this loved one. I had to make the same decision for my much loved Eric. He was 19 and he'd had a great life, but it was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. Even now, after 5 years, it still makes me cry. Be kind to yourself in the coming weeks. Plant a tree for Sir Thomas. Sending cyber hugs.
