I didn't have any plans to buy fabric anytime soon. Heck, I made it out of New York with only one yard of fabric in my bag, so I'm doing good, I tell you.
Then last night, I stopped by Carolyn's blog. And she was so persuasive about the sweater knits from Emma One Sock that she couldn't buy, I bought one on her behalf.
I had a terrible time choosing between the two colorways, but I decided on the green because it still had some of the rust in it; the rust colorway was pretty much rust/brown. This has more potential to get worn frequently.
I'm pretty sure I know what it wants to be already.
And in the realm of not-staying-on-the-wagon, I bought some patterns today on Patternreview. A few New Looks and KwikSew 3258 because Dawn is making a Chanel jacket from that one and I'm not 100% sold on the pattern I've chosen.
With such enabling friends, who could ask for anything more?

We bloggers do tend to enable others, don't we? I have definitely bought fabrics because Carolyn showed them on her blog! I love Emmaonesock knits. Sometimes you can find the same prints at Mood, but usually they are not available from retail outlets in NYC. I did see something I bought last year from her in Paron, but it was the same price. I must say I succumbed to a new knit from EOS too.
I LOVE that fabric! And you know we have to pick up the slack since Carolyn's stopped shopping. :-)
ROTFLOL! at both your post and the comments from Gigi and Nancy! See I wouldn't have these issues if a child would just leave and then I could turn one of the bedrooms into the fabric closet! Oh the thought of a room full of fabric...orgasmic! *LOL*
I left you an award on my blog!
Unless I can remain disciplined (lol), I'll be saying Karen made me do it! I've been trying to stay away for EOS but I know that won't last. I really like the fabric that you bought. Also, Carolyn has been responsible for a few of my fabric purchases. I've finished the muslin for KS3258 and love it! Yes, lots of fun encouraged by blogland!!
That one's my favorite! It will go with so many things in my closet...hmmmm. Must.Hide.Credit. Card...
Mwaaaaaa haaaaa haaaaa (that's my evil enabling laugh). I love sweater knit and that one is soooo pretty.
Come on now, Karen! I've been shopping with you! You can't blame Carolyn! That's great fabric and it really needed for you to buy it, anyway!
That's the one I would have picked too if I was buying fabric right now.
