For Elizabeth

Send for disaster relief!

Who seems to think that she has a messy sewing space.

Messy, meet catastrophe.

Problem here is, I'm a natural slob.  I rarely tidy between projects, and sometimes not between months.  Add to that the fact that I'm currently working on several projects that are using up remnants, scraps and recycled odds and ends of clothing, and there's just no hope.

Not sure if you can see the iron on the table, but it's there.  Of course the only ironing board within reach (and uncovered) is the sleeve board.

Yes, I am.  I am pressing my seams on a sleeve board right now.  But at least I'm still pressing.

Until the iron disappears.

Why yes, that is a cat eating dinner on my table.

Oh Karen! Did you get today off? I have a really hard time focussing on the job at hand when my room is that messy. I can see your iron. Hope it doesn't disappear soon. I also hope it has an auto off if you expect it to get covered or disappear. g

Looks like home to me! I have several projects going now too and things always get a little messy when I'm busy!

I'll see you and raise you. I have a sewing room, a dining room, and one leg of the kitchen counter that all look like this. -Karla

Could you start a book called 'where's the iron?' I'd buy it.
If you're comfortable to sew in your sewing space then good on you.

Any guilt I felt about my own sewing mess has suddenly evaporated thanks to this series of sewing mess one-up-man-ship! ;-)

"Until the iron disappears."

Had to lol at this one. I have approached sort-of-tidy in the rest of my home, but the sewing room is still an ungodly disaster. I kind of like it that way.

Your sewing room brings back (wonderful) memories of my Mom's sewing room. Brings a smile to my face.

Now you're just bragging.
